Leitrim Laughs Comedy Club hosts DEAD CAT BOUNCE | |
Thursday 10th September 8.30pm €15
One of the most exciting live acts to emerge from Ireland in recent years, Dead Cat Bounce presents Wired, a brand new rock ‘n roll sketch show, stopping off at The Dock fresh from Electric Picnic.
Dead Cat Bounce’s unique blend of sketch comedy and musical performances has won them critical acclaim; playing to packed houses at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, London’s Big Joke Festival, Montreal’s Just for Laughs and this years Galway Arts Festival. They made their TV debut in January of this year, with their pilot airing as part of RTE 2’s ‘Project Ha Ha’.
Combining “tightly written” sketches with “barnstorming” musical performances played as a full rock band, Wired promises to be a relentless hour of comedy, unlike anything else you’ll see this year.
They will be joined by regular Leitrim Laughs funny man, MC John Colleary.
“So spectacular that the audience were howling with laughter and begging for more” **** Edinburgh Festival’s Magazine
“Covering midgets to contraception….think Flight of The Concords with a touch of Billy Connolly’s folk-song storytelling…….this four-piece are cheeky, lively, funny…often electrifying” ***** Edinburgh Reviews
