Basic DIY Skills & Woodworking for Women

Are you a little daunted by DIY? Would you like to boost your confidence and learn how to do simple DIY tasks yourself? This workshop is designed to empower the female DIY beginner.

During this one day workshop with Charlie Perpoil, we will cover basic carpentry skills and the fundamentals of choosing and using the right tools for different jobs, as well as the maintenance of everything needed to complete a project. You will learn how to hang a floating shelf on the wall and create a storage box

This class is designed for women who have not had much (or any at all) experience working with wood or tools. Participants will have a chance to explore their creative and practical, problem solving sides, and learn about safety, design and wood

All tools will be provided. Please wear clothing that is ok to get a bit messy and closed shoes (and no jewelry please).

Charles Perpoil is trained in the ancient guild of the “Compagnons Du Devoir”(12th century craftmen school, original cathedral builders) he master his skills as a “Menuisier” wood carver by travelling around France, Ireland and Belgium for ten years.
