CULTURE NIGHT 2020: Gallery Tours

Culture Night at The Dock - Tours of the Galleries and Heritage Building

Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, it will take place on Friday 18th September 2020. Traditionally Culture Night provides people with the opportunity to visit cultural venues and organisations, try new things and experience workshops and events that they may not have tried before. Over the last few months however a few of us have been able to visit a gallery, see a performance or take part in a workshop. Nonetheless, our artists, designers, performers and filmmakers have been working through that time and our venues and cultural organisations have been carefully planning how they can invite you back to share that cultural wellspring.

Open Galleries

The Dock’s beautiful gallery spaces will be open to the public with guided tours of the historic building and current exhibition of paintings by Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh for groups of 6 or less taking place at 5.15, 5.45. 6.15 and 6.45pm. Visitors are welcome to visit the galleries after 7pm in groups of no more than 6 people. We would ask that those taking a tour or planning to visit after 7pm to book in advance on The Dock website. Further additions to our Culture Night programme will be announced shortly.

Time: 5pm to 9pm

Following the published guidelines and in the interests of the health and wellbeing of our audiences and artists, booking for live audience events is strictly required and masks must be worn by all patrons except for children under 13 or those with medical or other reasonable grounds.
