Give the gift of culture this Christmas

We have a wonderful selection of events coming up at the Dock Arts Centre for Christmas and into the New Year. There is something for everyone from theatre, film, music and more! Our events siut all age range.

For the little ones and families we have a delightfully interactive traditional music performance with 'A Winter Wish'. This features musicians Thomas Johnston and Stephen markham alongside visual artist Orla Kelly.  Musicians Sinead Conway and Dave Flynn bring a relaxed festive treat with 'Santa Babies - Concerts for Babies'.

For theatre lovers we have a one-woman show - created with multiple directors - examines the fractured and fragile personas we present to the world, who we might be behind them and what we could be instead. What Good is Looking Well When You’re Rotten on the Inside? is a piece about emotional inheritance and grief for wasted creativity that serves as both a tribute and a warning.

We have have some great gigs to suit all tastes for Different Rhythms with Djs Mick T - Woc (Disco E Cultura) and Donal Dineen to Mairtin O' Connor, Zoe Conway & Donal Lunny.

In February we have a collaboration best described as old-style village hall vaudeville for the future with Jack Lukeman & Patrick McCabe: High Lonesome (Songs From The Heartland). Tickets are €20 if bought before December 31st.

Why not treat others to a Dock Arts Centre voucher and give them the gift of the different cultural events here in Carrick on Shannon!
