Gypsy jazz and Manouche rhythms by Croatian born guitarist Drazen Derek, Russian virtuoso violinist Oleg Ponomarev , joined by Sligo based bassist and fellow member of NoCrows Eddie Lee. 

Drazen Derek is an accomplished musician, composer and arranger. As a soloist and ensemble guitarist, Drazen performs in a range of styles including Jazz, Classical, Avant- garde, Eastern European and Latin. He has performed and toured across Europe, the US and South America; with international artists such as Niels Pedersen, Carols Nunez, The BBC Orchestra, The Celtic Connections Festival Orchestra, Ravi Shankar; and in Ireland with The Cheiftans, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Louis Stewart, Ritchie Buckley and Camille O’Sullivan. 
Drazen is a Founding Member of ‘CAFÉ ORCHESTRA.’ He is currently in the final stages of a PhD in Guitar Improvisation at The Conservatory of Music under supervision of Dr. John Feeley. Drazen holds a Masters of Law degree from the University of Zagreb. He holds certificates of Music and Classical guitar under Dr. SilvijeBarlowich (Vatroslav Lisinski School of Music in Karlstadt); and Balkan folk music under Miki Petkovski, renown Macedonian musican and composer.

Oleg Ponomarev is a performing musician and multi-instrumentalist, teacher, lecturer and composer. He first studied violin and piano with his grandparents, both graduates of the Moscow Conservatory, and later graduated from the Central Music School and Gnesinn College in Moscow. He co-founded and performed extensively with legendary Russian-Gypsy trio Loyko and world music trio Koshka and has collaborated with numerous international artists, including Ravi Shankar, Yehudi Menuhin, Lakshminarayana Sumbramaniam, Ally Bain, Gidon Kremer, Gilles Apap, Andre Heller, Bill Lovelady and Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones. He has also written or arranged several scores for film and video, including Onegin (featuring Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler), and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Tim Burton. As a teacher, Oleg has taught classical, jazz/swing and Gypsy violin for over 30 years, and he has given workshops and masterclasses in schools and universities worldwide, including the Sonic Arts Research Centre, Belfast; the University of Aalborg, Copenhagen, Denmark; the University of Gotenburg, Sweden; Temple Sinai, Marblehead, Massachusetts, US; the Schous Cultural Centre, Trondheim, Norway; Russian Cultural Centre, Glasgow, Scotland; New Waltons School of Music, Dublin and Cavan Nusic Academy.He has recorded and produced more than 30 albums under his own name or as a guest artist and is signed to ARC Records UK, Circular Records Scotland and Adastra UK. Currently Oleg is a permanent member of the following groups: Koshka, Yurodny, Hot Club of Dublin, NoCrows and LPG Trio.
