An omnium-gatherum of poetry, prose & music
Hosted by the Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and New Yorker poetry editor Paul Muldoon, Muldoon's Picnic has been described by Time Out as a "music-and-literature extravaganza". We call it a stonkingly good night out!
Rarely staged outside New York, and at The Dock for one night only as part of a Scottish and Irish tour, Muldoon and his house band Rogue Oliphant (including Cait O’Riordan of The Pogues, Chris Harford and Ray Kubian) will be joined by special literary and musical guests: musical duo The Lost Brothers, award-winning writer Kevin Barry and Irish language poet Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill.
The Muldoon’s Picnic tour is produced by Poetry Ireland and supported by an Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Arts Council of Northern Ireland Touring Grant. Muldoon’s Picnic is hosted in New York City by the Irish Arts Center.
