A special evening of poetry recitals & live music
For Poetry Day Ireland we will be featuring readings by poets Sorcha Fox, Colm Keegan, Rosaleen McDonagh, with musicians Dee Armstrong, Lughaidh Armstrong Mayock and Megan Lawlor.
Remember is a performed poetry piece by Sorcha Fox with an original live score - dulcimer, fiddle, guitar and percussion Remember is a challenge, personal and political, to look at Ireland and our role in it. It is a call to action and a challenge to listen to and amplify the voices of those who hold the seeds of who we might be.
Colm Keegan is a writer and performance poet, shortlisted four times for the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award, for both poetry and fiction. He won the All Ireland Poetry Slam in 2010.
Rosaleen McDonagh is regarded as a leading feminist in both the Traveller community and the disability community. She is a regular contributor to The Irish Times. Her new play Mainstream premiered in The Project Arts Centre Dublin in November 2016.
