Live performances at The Dock by young artists. Get involved.
In January and February The Dock will host a night of performances programmed by and intended for teenagers and young adults. The Dock stage will be an open space into which a selection of young bands, musicians, actors, filmmakers, bloggers, designers, rappers, talkers, dancers, singers, actors and even comedians will be able to programme events for their peers and the wider public.
Join us for the first of these exciting new ventures with MC Cian Rock who will also perform alongside The Flies, Ruria Morgan and Muireann McDonnell.
Cian Rock is a singer songwriter based in Manorhamilton, Co.Leitrim. He creates an alternative indie/folk/rap/rock style of music and has a unique use of finger-picking. “Another way ” was Cian's first single which attracted a lot of attention on YouTube and Spotify. During the summer Cian supported Lisa O'Neill and was the closing act for the Sligo Live festival. Although born and raised in county Leitrim , he was awarded residency in Cavan from the arts council to record a number of songs which allowed him to hone his trade.He is is currently working on his debut EP.
The Flies are Sean Luke Doherty on drums his brother James lead vocals/guitar. JJ Doherty on bass and Darragh Winters on lead guitar. The 4 members between ages of 13 and 16 and they have been playing together for around 6 months. They have a very varied & wide musical influences from Jazz and blues to punk and indie rock. They have also written a couple of their own original tumes and are recording a demo in Jan 2018 at Lakeside Recording Studio, Cootehall.

Muireann McDonnell is 12 years old and lives in the seaside town of Skerries, Co.Dublin. She studies music theory, voice , piano and guitar.Muireann enjoys a casual approach to performing and during the summer of 2017 enjoyed playing at various festivals such as The Midlands Busking Festival, YouBloom, and Fingal Film festival. Muireann has opened for Mundy and also for Aslan. In February of 2017 Muireann auditioned for Junior Eurovision Eire and made it to the final which she won and she went on to represent Ireland in the junior Eurovision in Tbilisi in Georgia on 26th Nov 2017. Russia won the Junior Eurovision 2017 but Muireann was a great ambassador for Irish music.
