Tell your tale, and bring it to life in this stop motion animation workshop.
Using accessible and simple technology, children got to explore the basic techniques needed to develop and create their own animation together from storyboard to moving Images. Stop motion animation has a long history in film. It was often used to show objects moving as if by magic! Characters in films such as Wallace and Gromit, Coraline, the Corpse Bride and Frankenweenie are all made with stop motion animation. The workshop was led by Naomi Draper a graduate of NCAD. Naomi has mostly recently worked in residence on the Virtually There project at Scoil Mhuire, Carrick-on-Shannon and Leitrim County Councils Artist in Schools schemes.
