The Dock Summer Sessions at The Market Yard: The Maude Belles

Sat 22 August, 7:00pm

In light of the most recent Government restrictions, with great regret, we have had to postpone many of our scheduled events. We hope to be in position to re-schedule very soon.  We will be contacting all of our customers who have booked tickets with us.

Please check back here again soon for re-scheduled dates.

This is string band music both gutsy and sweet, driving and mellifluous. The Maude Belles draw their musical roots from old time American tradition, playing the Appalachian music that was born of Irish and Scottish traditional music, and was the predecessor of bluegrass music.

Hailing from Cork, Dublin and Sligo, the Belles formed in 2019 from like-minded musicians who played together in informal settings for several years.

Expect songs from the mountains, sweet vocal harmonies and stomping tunes that will make you smile at first; by the end you may well be dancing...

Louise Cronin – fiddle

Sheena Knepper – fiddle/bass

Fionnuala Kennedy – banjo

Camilla Monroe – guitar

There is no booking fee for this event.
Please note that this event will take place outdoors in the covered area of the Market Yard. Please bring some warm clothes. The performance can go ahead in the event of light rain.
