Barbara Knezevic will present an array of new sculptures and artworks comprised of wax, salt, steel, marble, fabric and rubber in her exhibition entitled ‘ Where exists a remnant’. These materials are moulded, bent, stacked and assembled into arrangements that recall monuments, markers and signifying structures. The sculptures make use of various materials for expressive and poetic effects.
Knezevic was recently awarded the Firestation Artists Studios’ Sculpture Workshop Residency Award & Bursary, and a three-year membership studio at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios. Her work has recently been seen at the eva International Biennale of Visual Art, Limerick City (2012); Rubicon Gallery, Dublin (2012), and Futures 11 at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin (2011).
This exhibition is made possible through the continued assistance of Leitrim County Council and The Arts Council.
