Me and You Art is a paired project for a parent and child, supported by The Dock. Over monthly sessions with Art Therapist Anna Mulvihill, the project aims to use the parent-child bond to find, explore, enhance, and develop creativity. This project is about the time shared in a creative headspace with a focus on process over output. The objective is to jointly immerse yourself in the moment to seek out and strengthen a creative connection that acknowledges the artistic talents of children/young people with an intellectual disability, specifically The Leitrim-West Cavan Branch of Down Syndrome Ireland and their families.
The group will meet once a month from August to December 2022. We look forward to seeing the creative outcomes and new artistic bonds this project will achieve, and sharing it with you.
