An inimitable showcase of singular instrumental talent, insightful lyrics, and spine-tingling vocal harmonies.
Known for their eclectic sound and witty on-stage repartee, the Emma Langford Trio bring their much loved show of nu-folk and traditional-inspired original songs to The Dock. The ensemble comprises Limerick's own Emma Langford (songwriter; guitar), Cork woman Hannah Nic Gearailt (keys; vocals), and Arkansas-born Dr. Alec Brown (cello; flute; vocals).
Langford's songs offer an insight into Irish folklore, history, and many of life's universal truths; playfully blending folk, traditional and contemporary sounds and styles. With the heart-warming ballad The Winding Way Down to Kells Bay and epic anthem Birdsong, she has climbed the charts, and solidified her place on the Irish and international music scene.
The artist has received multiple awards for her work, including the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award and the Dolores O'Riordan Bursary. She has played Ireland’s National Concert Hall where, alongside conductor Éimear Noone and the National Symphony Orchestra, she premiered new original works inspired by Irish history.
She is also a core member of star-studded collective Irish Women In Harmony. Emma Langford's exciting ensemble has played to sold-out crowds across Ireland, the UK, Germany and the USA, and are touring theatres throughout the US, Germany and Denmark in 2025.
