Explore musical possibilities with musician Stephanie Pawula. Through discussion, listening and examining their own unique soundscapes and soundtracks participants will finish with their own collection of newly composed works. These will be create using field recording, day to day objects, voice and instruments.

Stephanie will share her experience in making improvised music following a theme, an image, a movement, an idea as well as presenting a musical statement. This soundscape will then evolve into a soundtrack by using simple recording techniques and minimal production.

The project consists of 8 x 30 min zoom sessions that you can participate in from the comfort of your own home. These Zoom based workshops will take place in January on Sat 9th, Sat 16th & Sat 30th, February on Sat 6th, Sat 20th, Sat 27th and in March on Sat 6th & Sat 20th

This project is a reflection of Stephanie's latest work as an improviser with Resonance Project and composer for Miriam Needham written words.

Stephanie Pawula is a French percussionist and music facilitator. Her music style varies from Folk, Indie, Brazilian, African and Cuban. For the past two years, she is part of 'Resonance Project' working with Echo Echo Dance Company from Derry exploring the connection between improvised music and contemporary dance. Her band The Hunter, are working on their second album and are featured in the short film “Ebb and Flow” by the Wild Atlantic Women Collective.

In March, she was asked to join the Come Together Project run by the Hawks Well Theater in Sligo, creating a piece 'Nothing to do' with Miriam Needham, in response of the Lockdown. She is also involved with Music Generation Sligo and Musicians without Borders.
