We are delighted to present our live performance series Back at The Dock. We hope you will have a wonderful night in the company of friends and family.
These will take place outdoors in a covered walled area at The Dock where you can enjoy performances over weekend nights from July 23rd to September 5th.
"Neadú (nesting) is what we have all been doing for the last year. During the lockdown, I found comfort in songs well-worn and much-loved from my past that I had never recorded, and was inspired by the ancient stone beehive huts or clocháns that are scattered around my locality in West Kerry. On Friday the 4th September, I will share these songs with you"
Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is a multi-award winning traditional singer and musician from Corca Dhuibhne, West Kerry. A leading exponent of the sean nós style, her repertoire also includes songs from a wide variety of folk and contemporary sources. Muireann has enjoyed success as lead singer and flute player with the Irish traditional supergroup Danú, as well as many years performing as a solo artist.
Fionnuala Maxwell is an award winning traditional Irish singer, composer and tutor whose voice and personality will be well known to many Leitrim residents. She took part in our Carry the Tunes concert series earlier this year and we are delighted that she can join us and Muireann to share songs and no doubt a laugh or two.
