Plans and Visualisation 2
The Dock presents the second part of an online pre-recorded workshop by Jamie Cross, on how to use the 3D design software, SketchUp. This software can be used to visualise and plan the placement of artworks within a gallery setup. The artist, Jamie Cross developed and facilitated this workshop to be of use for artists, students, and designers.
Participants are required to download and install SketchUp on their personal computers, where Jamie will demonstrate the steps and techniques to create a virtual version of a desired exhibition space and how to place examples of work within this environment. The on-demand delivery of this pre-recorded workshop allows participants to work at their own pace and to become familiar with the software. The workshop demonstrates how a gallery/space can influence the nature of artwork and conversely, how the work can impact the space in which it is exhibited.
The admission fee is €10 for this online workshop, which will be accessible online from Saturday, 16th October at 11 am. The admission fee includes access to the first installment of this workshop.
