Creative Frame invites you to the Artists' Meet-up on Wednesday 2 April at The Dock.
Creative Frame is a free membership network for artists and creative practitioners run by Leitrim Arts Office. The network supports emerging and professional artists who aim to make a living or a significant part of their living from artistic practice.
Members must be based in Leitrim or the surrounding counties, providing services that benefit communities in Leitrim such as workshops, community projects or other similar activities. If you are not currently a member, you can join Creative Frame here.
Artists' Meet-up
Artists’ Meet-ups are an opportunity to meet and network with other artists in a relaxed and informal way. In the Meet-up, you can tell other members about your practice, current activities, supports you might need, or any information you would like to share with your peers.
For April's Meet-up, artists will also hear about recent projects and experiences from singer-songwriter Ursula Connolly and theatre practitioner Treasa Nealon.
Ursula Connolly has been collaborating with a number of artists to create a song cycle inspired by Hans Christian Andersons fairy tales called Songs Through a Stained Glass Window. Ursula will share her experience of that collaboration and how she used the mentoring bursary to support the development of the project.
Treasa Nealon recently participated in the Irish Theatre Institute’s Six in the Attic professional development programme. This programme provides artists with the space and resources to create and develop new work. Treasa will share the impact that this mentorship opportunity has had on her current work.
Registration with tea and coffee begins at 11am. The event runs until 1pm. You can book your free place here.
