Take part in our Saturday Studios for young people with artist Jo Lewis.
Dive into a creative journey that uses art to explore the unique elements of our local landscape. Drawing inspiration from the countryside around us, we’ll look closely at the plants, trees, leaves, flowers, mosses, and lichens that shape our environment. During our two Saturday workshops you will look at botany in a fun and creative way, using a variety of media — from charcoal to plaster and clay.
Before you arrive, take some time to think about your local landscape or garden. Is there something you particularly like about it? And if you feel inspired (this is entirely optional), bring along a leaf, plant, twig, shell, seed, or anything from your local environment that catches your eye.
Wear clothes that can get a bit messy or bring a T-shirt or apron to cover up!
Saturday Studios for 10–13 years
19 and 26 October, 12.30–2pm
Cost: €10
