Gerry Boland’s new series of writing workshops will be of interest to anyone who is open to exploring the creative impulses that run through our lives.
Each Tuesday, Gerry will guide the participants through a series of writing exercises designed to unlock the wealth of creativity that is waiting to be released. At each session, there will be writing exercises in poetry, in fiction, in memoir and in dialogue. There will be reading and analysis of a wide range of material, and discussions around identity, creativity, inspiration, and anything else of relevance that crops up during the sessions.
Gerry says: “It’s never too late to unlock your innate creativity. I was in my forties when I wrote my first (sadly unpublished!) children’s novel. It was only then that I realised there existed this hidden reservoir of creativity inside of me and all I had to do was to honour it by continuing to write.”
The workshops will run on consecutive Tuesday mornings from 11am – 12:30pm, commencing 21 April and ending 9 June 2026. The 8-week course fee is €95. Book your place through the link below or call the Box Office at 071 965 0828.
