Following our Annual General Meeting, The Dock is delighted to welcome Joanna Frivet, Sarah Neary and Mintesinot Wolde to the Board of Directors. We are grateful to our out-going Directors Rebeccah Farrell, Kealin Ireland, and Charlie McGettigan for their dedicated support and expertise over the course of their terms.

About the Directors
Joanna Frivet (elected 2024) is a lawyer specialised in international criminal law, called to the Bar of England and Wales (non-practicing). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Mauritius, a Graduate Diploma in Law from the UK, and a Master’s degree in International Human Rights Law and International Crime (cum laude) from The Netherlands. Joanna is the owner of an international consultancy company established in 2018 and massage company based in Carrick-on-Shannon. Originally from Mauritius, Joanna boasts a rich cultural heritage with African, European, and Indian roots. She emigrated to Ireland in 2016 with her Irish husband to start their family in Leitrim. Joanna’s diverse background and commitment to excellence uniquely positions her to contribute meaningfully to various community initiatives.
Sarah Neary (elected 2024) is a chartered accountant and principal in the practice of Donal Neary & Company in Leitrim Village, which currently employs seven members of staff. The company’s client base consists of SME companies, owner managed businesses, partnerships and sole traders, across a wide range of business sectors such as agriculture, property, construction, tourism and hospitality, professional services, not for profit organisations, manufacturing and pharmaceutical. Services include audit, accounting, taxation, payroll and bookkeeping, business start-up, business consultancy, and company secretarial.
Mintesinot Wolde (elected 2024) is a professional contemporary dance artist who graduated with an MA from the University of Limerick. He is founding director of Mintesinot Wolde Dance, a member of Dance Ireland, an Artist Panellist for Roscommon County Council, and a board member of the Galway Dance Project. Mintesinot’s notable achievements include working as a dancer from 2020 to 2023 with the renowned Japanese choreographer, Akiko Kitamura, for the dance production, Echoes of Calling, presented in Galway and Tokyo.
With support from organisations like Creative Ireland, Dance Ireland, Shawbrook Residency, and The Arts Council, Mintesinot has developed his own dance pieces and artistic practices. His production, See You in the Green, was presented at Roscommon Arts Centre and the Dancer of the Dance Festival, and he was commissioned to create a dance piece, Sway, for Boyle Arts Festival 2022. Mintesinot received professional training in Traditional and African Contemporary dance from Jant-Bi Ecole des Sables African Dance School in Senegal. Prior to that, he worked for four years at Mekuria Theatre Studio and Entertainment Company in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as an artistic director, dancer, and dance teacher, under the guidance of Abate Mekuria.
