With generous funding from Diversity through the Arts under the PEACEPLUS Programme and supported Leitrim County Council Arts Office and Leitrim Youth Arts, we delivered a hugely enjoyable series of workshops. Our special Bright Sparks Youth Theatre group had daily creative workshops in the Theatre with the inimitable Catherine Sheridan, assisted by Gavin Sweeney and Mia Blake.
Running alongside the youth project there was a creative programme for adults. They enjoyed a different art form every day, including movement workshops with Kate Wilson, visual arts with Christine Mackey, music and sound bath with Kristina Baker Kenny, and creative writing with Michael Harding. Lots of laughter, quiet reflective moments, encouragement, and growth along the way.
We are so grateful to the entire team at The Dock who went above and beyond to make everyone feel so welcome and to ensure this project was a huge success. — Mary Blake
About the Summer Camp
