Call it art, call it folklore, but it’s a momentary fulfilment of what it is to be human. — Henry Glassie
Bring something treasured to The Dock, something you consider to be part of the rich array of folk art: a hand-made farm tool or musical instrument, an old ponjar or milk jug, a hand-made quilt or blanket, a butter print, a drawing or painting – and we’ll share conversation and memories.
This Bring and Tell event accompanies The Green Loy exhibition grounded in the life and traditions of Leitrim and the north-west. The exhibition includes a tin fiddle, Leitrim chairs, cow and donkey masks, patchwork and crochet work, all by local makers, and much more.
