Immerse yourself in the art of zine-making
Join us at The Dock in partnership with Hunters Moon for an exciting Zine workshop led by Sukie Zines as part of the vibrant Moon Mountain all-day festival.
In this guided zine workshop, 2.00 to 3.30pm, participants will learn how to make their own zine using art supplies and collage materials. Zines are a great way for people to dive into the world of publishing and creative expression. This workshop is open to a wide age range, from 15 to 115, ensuring an intergenerational exchange of ideas and inspiration. Book your free ticket here.
On the day, Sukie Zines will also provide a small lounge space with Zine collections displayed on their bike trailer library as inspiration and for festival-goers to unwind, stop in, and browse their zines.
Sukie Zines is a queer, DIY library dedicated to archiving zines and making them available for the community to read. Their catalogues cover a variety of themes including gender, sexual orientation, race, decolonisation, disability, mental health, sex and consent, feminism, anarchism, arts, and culture. Sukie Zines is an educational project which strives to create and make space for marginalised folks, and organise fun, queer, and inclusive community events in Sligo and around rural NW Ireland.
