Taking place on Saturday 18 October from 11am — 2pm, this Halloween SFX workshop with Olivia Louise Curto is perfect for adults who want to take their Halloween game to the next level and create makeup effects that will awe friends and stand out at any party. Whether you’re preparing for a costume event, Halloween night, or just want to impress with your skills, this workshop gives you the chance to learn professional techniques, get hands-on experience, and unleash your creativity.
The workshop begins with a live demonstration on a model, where a professional SFX artist brings a Halloween creature or monster to life. Watch realistic cuts, bruises, scars, and textures appear in real time, and get inspired for your own creations.
During the hands-on portion, participants will learn how to set up their station and practice creating effects such as broken noses, black eyes, cuts and scratches, bruised knees, fake ears, and other creepy Halloween details. You’ll experiment with professional scar wax, tools, and fun materials while picking up insider tips — including how to elevate your look using simple household items.
To finish, everyone will make their own DIY scar wax, a versatile tool to take home and keep creating effects for Halloween parties, costumes, or just for fun. With a short break included, this immersive, creative, and spooky workshop is packed with fun, learning, and inspiration—giving you the skills to stand out this Halloween and amaze with your SFX creations.
Suitable for ages 16+. Tickets are €10.
