The Leitrim Volunteer Centre enhances Leitrim's places and supports vibrant communities, with volunteering at its heart. Volunteers become active citizens, build local value, and contribute to community development projects.

The Leitrim Volunteer Awards are an annual event to recognise, value and show gratitude to people who volunteer and have volunteered in County Leitrim in 2024. This year's event returns to The Dock on Friday 22 November with special guest Michael Harding.

Would you like to nominate a volunteer? You can choose from a range of categories including diversity, social inclusion, sustainability, Young Volunteer of the Year and Outstanding Group of the Year. Please follow the link to submit your nomination here.

Leitrim Volunteer Centre

Leitrim Volunteer Centre aims to match volunteers to suitable volunteer opportunities within community-based organisations. This is a great opportunity to engage transition year students looking for work experience; college-bound students looking to improve their employability; parents, guardians and children looking to engage in family volunteering; immigrants looking to meet people and learn about their locality; individuals looking for once-off micro volunteering opportunities that fit their schedule; professionals looking to share their knowledge; and retirees looking to become active. There is something out there for everyone and we can help you find a volunteering opportunity that suits your interests.
