Join Olivia Louise Curto for an energetic, hands‑on SFX makeup workshop where you’ll sculpt, paint, build, and transform.
This fun, creative session introduces young people to the world of special effects makeup — from bruises and cuts to colour work and texture building.
Across the morning, participants will learn how SFX artists create realistic effects for film, theatre, and photography, using both professional materials and simple, low‑cost tools that anyone can try at home.
This workshop is free and takes place on Saturday 18 July from 10:30am — 1pm. The workshop is suitable for ages 10 — 16. Spaces are limited.
What to Expect
- 10:30–11:30 — Live Demo
Watch Olivia build an SFX look step by step, exploring colour blending, textures, and how different materials behave.
- 11:30–12:00 — Break
Participants should bring a packed lunch, and the break will be supervised by the facilitators.
- 12:00–1:00 — Hands‑On Workshop
Try out techniques like creating bruises, cuts, and surface effects with guidance and support.
This workshop is perfect for young creatives who love makeup, movies, Halloween looks, or trying out new artistic skills. Everyone leaves with new techniques, confidence, and a whole lot of imagination.
