Stories in Stitches is a knitting project with Patricia O'Reilly exploring creativity, memory and heritage.
Traditional Aran knitting is more than craft — it is a language of memory, skill, and quiet storytelling passed from hand to hand through generation. This Spring, Stories in Stitches invites knitters of all levels to gather, create, and share their stories through yarn over a series of eight workshops. Through conversations, creativity, and learning together, this project hopes to rekindle not only the craft of traditional knitting, but also the sense of connection, imagination, and heritage that once surrounded it.
Workshops will take place on Thursdays, 7—8pm and 8—9pm. These workshops are free and inclusive. The workshop space is wheelchair accessible. For queries about accessibility, please contact us at thedockartscentre@gmail.com.
