The idea of artistic freedom and creativity as a journey was alluded to during which a narrative unfolds through single motif. Her motifs were often simple half-formed shapes which were open to metaphorical and anthropomorphic interpretation. The shapes took on a character and were eventually given an environment. There was humour and a certain raw exposure alluded to in these situations. There were also references to the pioneers of the Wild West, to being placed outside one’s comfort zone into a vulnerable place.
