FairGreen is a fresh alternative rock band working out of the west of Ireland. Formed in early 2023, the band consists of vocalist Harry Bouchier, Ethan Crossen, Thomas James Simon and Udo Grunewald, an intergenerational group who met through Music Generation Roscommon as Musician Educators.
In their live show, the band portray an interesting spectrum of influences ranging from rock, electronica, jazz, pop and more. They will debut original material from their first album which was recorded at Barnes Studios in Glasgow and is set for release in late 2024 on Scottish label The Barnes Society.
Botanics are a rock band coming from the musically rich town of Boyle, County Roscommon, in the west of Ireland. The young, energetic four-piece consists of vocalist and guitarist Shay Noone, lead guitarist Dara McDonagh, drummer James O'Neill, and bassist Oran Henry, with backing vocals from Brianna Lennon, Ruby O’Sullivan, Grace McKenna, and Isobel Bouchier, all members of another band called Croi.
Totem started Music Generation’s band development programme in 2021. Under the programme, they learnt how to rehearse and construct original songs. These pieces took varied influences to make a collective idea of what a rock band should be; the earliest songs were inspired by 90s alt rock, gradually developing their own sound. They have performed at Roscommon Arts Centre, Night and Day Festival, and The National Gallery.
