John McDwyer marks another milestone in his playwriting career with his new book, For the Craic. Join us on Friday 20 November for the launch with Dr. Rhona Trench, Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing and Performing Arts at ATU Sligo.
For the Craic is a collection of John's three hugely successful comedies, The Pension Plan, Unforgiven and Turning Mammy, and comes following script demands from companies all over Ireland. The Pension Plan rights have been recently purchased by a professional Irish theatre company for the next two years and the rights are also contracted to Pure Mule Theatre company for next summer's tour.
Tickets are €10 and following the formal launch, John has got the old Beezneez band together to present a scene from each of the plays. The book will be on sale at the discounted price of €15 and the author will be on hand to sign copies.
This should be a great night's entertainment and booking is advised.
