Paddy Critchley and Seán McKenna (The Mary Wallopers) will be in conversation and in song at The Dock on Sunday 6 August at 2pm. Together they will draw on the key ideas and motivations for our current exhibition Ragged Trousers by Paddy Critchley, who is interested in the representation of working-class life and in highlighting common issues facing many people in Ireland today. Please join us in Gallery 2, admission is free and all are welcome.

About Paddy
Paddy Critchley is an artist from Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Since graduating from Limerick School of Art and Design, he has exhibited at The Hunt Museum, Limerick City Gallery of Art, and Dunamaise Arts Centre. Paddy also runs the Ballad Sessions in Charlie Malone’s Pub in Limerick city, which encourages the sharing of folk music from archives and keeping stories alive.
About Seán
Seán McKenna is a musician from Dundalk, Co. Louth. He is one of three front singers for The Mary Wallopers. The Mary Wallopers are one of Ireland’s leading folk/punk band and have taken the world by storm. Also a carpenter, Seán attended GMIT Letterfrack. A staunch socialist, Seán often sings songs of political importance.
