To mark the exhibition Waking the Land, the ^ collective will host a gathering at The Dock featuring contributions from north Leitrim artists, farmers, and academics.

Join us for workshops by artists Jo Lewis and Cróna Gallagher; presentations by visual artist Rob Ireson (Celebrating Resistance Creating Community Power) and poet/farmer/nurse Lisa Gifford (Leitrim Hill Creamery); a drawing performance by visual artist Kathy O'Leary and music performance by Diarmuid MacDiarmada; a panel discussion on semi-natural grasslands chaired by environmental scientist Yosef Dvores (Our Native Glens); film screenings from Padraig Cunningham and Dylan Howitt; and a conversation on the current exhibition by the ^ collective.

Phoebe and Hedda Dick (Central Hotel) will provide Central Sodas, refreshing carbonated drinks including meadow cordial made by the ^ collective. Lunch will be provided by Meenymore Cottages.

Tickets are free and booking is required.

About the ^ collective

^ is a collective based in Leitrim. Our five members are Tara Baoth Mooney, Shane Finan, James Kelly, Laura McMorrow, and Sonya Swarte. We collectively occupy an artist-led studio and experimental space in Manorhamilton that opened in September 2022. Over the past three years, we have led events in north Leitrim in response to environmental grief, care, and tending to the land.

The ^ collective cultivates collaborative research, experimentation, creation, and dissemination by working with the north Leitrim community and nature as mutual co-creators of meaning. To achieve this, we organise and host events in our workspace in Manorhamilton that we run together. This has taken multiple forms, such as social gatherings, symposia, rituals, workshops, walks, sharing food together, and exchanging our different knowledges and stories.
