Young Curators Programme

The Dock welcomes Sionainn Fee to participate in the Young Curators Programme this Summer. Sionainn is currently a final year student of History of Art and Architecture with French at Trinity College Dublin. She spent the past year in Paris at Sorbonne University, enriching her studies in French history, the art market, curatorship and the intersection of culture and public life.

Sionainn holds an executive committee role on the Trinity College Visual Arts society; facilitating art workshops, event management, curating student exhibitions and nurturing a vibrant arts scene on campus.
Sionainn aspires to a career in the arts, with particular interests in design and architecture, curatorial practice and contemporary Irish art. She is in the process of researching for her final-year disseration project. She is especially passionate about the growth of the arts in the North West of Ireland, recognising its potential for cultural identity and regional renewal.
"Originally from the local rural area, I grew up with a deep love for the west of Ireland’s cultural heritage and the importance of the arts in enhancing local communities, especially in rural settings where access to creative opportunities can be limited."

Young Curators Programme
The Young Curators Programme is a new initiative at The Dock to collaborate with young people on delivering strategic aims and priorities of the organisation, to provide paid work experience and funded training opportunities for young people in the arts and culture sector in Ireland and internationally, and to involve young people in policymaking and future-proofing activities.
