SketchUp Workshop with Jamie Cross

To celebrate National Drawing Day 2021 artist Jamie Cross led a pre-recorded workshop using the free 3D design software, SketchUp. For artists, students, and designers, this was an introduction to the software that helps artists to plan and visualise their work in galleries and other spaces.

Using 3D design software, SketchUp, Jamie went through some basic and simple steps and techniques to enable participants to build their desired exhibition space online and get a feel for how and where their works could be displayed in it. The workshop demonstrated how a gallery/space can influence the nature of a work and conversely, how the work can impact the space in which it is exhibited.
