The Dock, in partnership with Photo Museum Ireland, presents the second instalment of Post-Photography: Artists in Conversation, a series of virtual panel discussions accompanying the exhibition Afterimage: Photography in the Digital Age. This discussion brings together exhibiting artists Alan Phelan and Ailbhe Ní Bhriain in dialogue with curator Darren Campion.
Each session of this series explores how contemporary practices are reshaping what photography is and can be in an increasingly networked, image-saturated world. From archival interventions to digital montage and expanded image-making, these conversations reflect on the diverse ways images are now produced, circulated, and understood. Through discussion of the artists’ work, the series considers how meaning, context, and authorship are shifting, and explores what these changes reveal about photography today.
